Rhona Mitra, Sometimes also referred as Rona Mitra, was born to Irish catholic mother Nora and half Indian and half English father Anthony Mitra, who was a famous cosmetic surgeon. Rhona did not have a quite happy childhood. Her parents divorced when she was only 8 years old.

After divorce, Rhona Mitra was sent to boarding school, she was quite naughty in nature. School administration did not want to bear her mischief so she was expelled from school. Later Rhona joined other school but there also because of other girl’s naughty nature, she has to leave the school.

Rhona Mitra came back to London But as nobody was there to guide him. She started going to clubs and started taking drugs. Four years after she realized that her dream is to become a big public icon and this would not be possible with this life style. Rhona changed her life style completely and started going for drama school for one year.

After one year, Rhona Mitra found that she has enough talent to get work. She got a role in series Ghostbusters of East Finchley. Rhona got her first role in the movie Monk Dawson, in which her role was appreciated. But what made hit for the first time was mischievous school girl role in a small series The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous , this established her as a known face in the industry.

Rhona Mitra gave an audition for video game character and she was chosen for Lara Croft of Tomb Raider series. This move made her famous worldwide as this gaming series was a huge success. Rhona was so dedicated for this role that to actually give the feeling of Lara Croft, she got her breast enlarged using surgery.

Rhona Mitra has also recorded the soundtrack for this gaming series. In 1999, she did a lead role in movie Beowulf. She did a small role in big production Hollow man. Another series which gave her fame was episodes of FOX's Party of Five as Holly. It made Rhona a public figure.

Later Rhona Mitra did some more movies, playing a smaller role. But she is waiting for a fate turning role. She is fully committed to work . She is single and had not been heard of dating with somebody.
